Delaware County has developed a functional needs registry for residents with limited mobility or special needs, in order to provide individual notification during an evacuation, and to alert and enable emergency personnel to assist such individuals in the event of an emergency.

The American Red Cross provides Disaster Relief Services. 24-hr emergency and recovery assistance is available to victims of hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, or fires. Disaster-caused needs are determined and emergency assistance is provided as the recovery process begins. Assistance and information in locating family members who were evacuated in a disaster is also available.

Broome County Emergency Services are made up of four divisions: Emergency Dispatch/911, Disaster Preparedness, Emergency Medical Services, and Fire Prevention and Control. These different services provide planning, training, resources, response, warning, coordination, and information to assist in preparing for and responding to emergency situations and disasters.

The Salvation Army operates an Emergency Disaster Relief program which provides: individual/family counseling and works with other agencies in feeding/housing for volunteers and victims.

Kateri's Thrift Store provides quality used clothing and household items to families and individuals, regardless of income or geographic location. Donations are accepted from consumers for items obtained, with exception of households who have been given a referral from a school, church or agency. Kateri's is located on the ground level of the Little Falls Community Center. The store operates Tuesday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Clothing and household donations are welcome and can be dropped off during regular store hours.
