HIICAP provides you and your loved ones with information, education, and counseling about Medicare and other health insurances. Trained staff and volunteers will answer your questions.
The services provided by HIICAP are both free and unbiased. The answers to your questions are just a free phone call, or a mouse click, away!!!
Provides unbiased information and counseling regarding Medicare supplemental policies, long-term care insurance and insurance policy comparisons. Telephone assistance is provided to care givers and the home bound with home visits made when necessary.

It is New York's Health Insurance Information, Counseling & Assistance Program. HIICAP's mission is to provide information, individual counseling and assistance to people about MEDICARE as well as private health insurance coverage and other health insurance issues for seniors. This service is intended for people who currently have Medicare or will soon be eligible for it.
The federal government contracts with private insurance organizations called carriers to process claims and make payments for services provided by doctors and suppliers under Medicare's Part B program.1-800-442-8430
Advocates assist consumers with application processes for Social Services, Medicaid & Medicare, Disability, Section 8 and more.
Services Provided: County governmental agency charged with the provision of social and economic services to residents meeting State and Federal guidelines. Services provided include: child and adult abuse and neglect investigations; child foster care; child preventive services; adoption; adult services; temporary assistance; food stamps; emergency food/shelter/utility/clothing; employment services; energy assistance, day care assistance; Medicaid; child support enforcement and paternity establishment.
The office provides Medicare and EPIC counseling and consultation by trained insurance specialists.
The Health Insurance Information, Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP), administered by the New York State Office for the Aging, helps you understand Medicare and other health insurance matters. Chenango Health Network is part of the Community Service Society of New York’s Navigator Network. Navigators are certified by New York State to guide individuals through the enrollment process, help them find the right health insurance based on their unique needs and work with them to determine if they are eligible for financial assistance to reduce the cost of coverage.
