Description:New York State Veterans Home is a 242-bed facility that
provides long term care and short term rehabilitative care.
Supervised medical care and nursing services are provided
on a 24-hour basis. Support programs include social
services, recreational activities, physical and occupational
therapy and other rehabilitative services. Special diets are
provided through a registered dietician on staff. A PRI and
Screen are needed for admission along with application.
The applicant must have entered active duty from the State
of NY or be a NY State resident for one year prior to
admission. The Veteran must also have had an honorable
discharge from the US Armed Forces and have at least 30
days of active service. Rates: Medicaid and Medicare for
