Nurses in the Maternal Child Health Program provide home visits to pregnant women, new mothers and newborn infants. Referrals are accepted from hospitals, health care providers, community agencies and clients or their families. Education on pregnancy, nutrition, labor and delivery, family planning, infant care, breast-feeding and parenting is provided. The nurses can make a home visit to weigh your baby and discuss any concerns you might have
