Health Insurance Information and Counseling Program (HIICAP)

  • Description:

    HIICAP is a federally-funded program from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). HIICAP is administered by the New York State Office for the Aging, and in Monroe County is located at Lifespan. HIICAP provides you and your loved ones with information, education, and counseling about Medicare and other health insurances. Staff and volunteers, all certified as health insurance counselors, are available to answer your questions.

    The services provided by HIICAP are both unbiased and free of charge.
