A peer is a person with his or her own lived experiences with mental health conditions, psychiatric labels, emotional issues, and/or trauma histories. A peer is a person who has made significant progress working towards his or her own recovery from mental illness, and who wants to help others in similar need.
Community mobile peer support and community based peer support groups are being held in the community. Information on the community mobile peer support and community based based peer support groups are available through out peer support Warmline (518) 502-1172.
