    In 1986 The Finger Lakes Region Lions Hearing Foundation was incorporated by NY State as a non-for-profit 501 (c) (3) Foundation and approved by Lions International to serve the hearing impaired.

    We collect used hearing aids, have them refurbished and make them available to needy hearing-impaired people. We operate solely on monetary donations and the collection of used hearing aides. Our entire operation is volunteer.

    We use qualified Audiologists as Service Providers to fit the aids to our patients. They can then better hear the pleasant sounds of life and this bounty certainly fulfills our Mission. With the help of the Western New York Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs, we have provided over 1,400 people with a major improvement in the way they communicate.
