Fall Clinic with Lattimore Physical Therapy
Learn ways to build strength and balance while also learning the proper way to fall if you do lose your balance with Nicole, Physical Therapist from Lattimore Physical Therapy.
When: Tuesday, April 18 at 11 am
Classes for you!
AOA Class:
Join the AOA functional fitness class and gain the tools necessary to live a full and independent life. Participating in functional fitness will increase your balance, flexibility, improve range of motion, tone muscles and build strength.
Tuesdays, 11 – 11:30 am
Cost: $18 Registration required
Ballet Barre: A blend of ballet and Pilates inspired movements. This workout tones and elongates your muscles giving you the strong, fit, lean body of a dancer. This is a barefoot class.
When: Tuesday/Thursday, 9:30 am in Dance Studio
Pickleball
Pickleball combines elements from badminton, tennis and table tennis. It is a great game for all ages. We provide all equipment. All you need is water & sneakers.
Monday: 12:00 – 2 pm
Tuesday: 12:15 – 1:45 pm
Fridays: 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
SilverSneakers Classic– Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.
Monday & Wednesday – 10:45-Noon; Tuesday & Thursday – 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Silver Spin Class: It’s time to get back on the bike. We offer spinning classes on stationary bikes; here is a specific class for your needs. Learn the basics with AOA Coordinator Patty Spaid. She will make you feel comfortable riding a bike for 30 minutes.
Thursdays, 7:30 to 8 am
COST: $1 donation recommended
SilverSneakers Circuit: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball is alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
Tuesday/Thursday: 9:45 – 10:45 am
Cardio Walk Increase your heart rate and catch up with your friends with the instructor lead cardio walk class. In addition to time spent on the track there are body weight exercises and light stretching. It is a great activity for a Friday morning.
Friday 8:30 -9:30 am
Aquatics:
We offer a variety of skill building and healthy living classes in our pool. The water acts as a resistance tool to work your entire body. Working out in the water alleviates stress on your hip and knee joints. Aquatics programs are wonderful to gain strength and improve balance while limiting the harmful impact on your body.
