Advocacy - Legal Services

  • Description:

    This includes all individual and systems advocacy the agency provides. Individual advocacy includes assisting consumer with obtaining reasonable accommodation in the workplace, reasonable modification in their homes and physical and programmatic access to locations in the community. Also included are concerted efforts to change public policy as it relates to services for PWD. A significant amount of the Center advocacy resources are used for issues surrounding the education of children with disabilities in the least restrictive environment.
