Program Children Adolescent Residential Treatment Facilities:

Children Adolescent Residential Treatment Facilities

  • Description:

Kaydeross House is a residential group home designed to treat female adolescents between the ages of 9 and 18 who evidence emotional and behavioral difficulties. Licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, Kaydeross House is sponsored by Transitional Services Association, Inc., a private, not-for-profit organization, providing a variety of residential support services to both children and adults in transition to less restrictive environments.

Services: Kaydeross House offers 24-hour supervision in a safe and supportive environment to adolescents who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to reside at home at the time of referral. In addition to the maintenance of structured, therapeutic environment, the program offers individual, group, family, and crisis counseling. Residents attend school programs within the community, participate in community recreational, social and cultural activities, and develop independent living skills.

Service Providers: Kaydeross House is staffed by trained and experienced professionals, including a Social Worker, who work close with the children and their families to assist them in clarifying mutually agreed-upon goals and objectives in order to facilitate the residents’ successful return to home or transition to another less restrictive setting.

Admissions: Referrals are accepted from Saratoga County and other county departments of social services. An individual interview and family assessment are required as part of the admission procedure. These assessments focus largely on the child and family’s level of motivation to establish and achieve agreed-upon goals, and the child’s ability to function appropriately in a community-based program and public schools. Family involvement is viewed as a critical component of Kaydeross House programming.

Our staff is available to answer any further questions you may have. We thank you for your interest in our program.
