Medicaid Medical Transportation

Description:
Travel to medical services is eligible to be covered by Medicaid, but must be authorized before that travel happens. This is where MAS comes in. We work with enrollees to ensure they are eligible, and to set up transportation via the appropriate level or mode of transportation. MAS works with transportation providers in ensuring they are paid for the services they provide, but does not actually pay the providers.
To start the approval process, please call MAS at the number specific to your county or borough to begin, or to find out if you are eligible for non-emergency Medicaid transportation. MAS deals frequently with enrollee-approved family members, medical practitioners and social services caseworkers who also set up appointments.
Be sure to create an account on MAS as soon as you are approved to be able to order transportation online.
