Clients who have already completed the evaluation, can schedule an appointment with the nurse to be assessed for Suboxone or Vivitrol. If you are accepted into either medically assisted treatment program, there are strict rules and urine testing you must comply with along with continuing your outpatient treatment (individual and group counseling sessions). This service is only provided at the Olean office, but any client seeing a counselor at any of the other offices are welcome to make an appointment to see the doctor, if they are willing to commute to the Olean office for appointments with the doctor and any groups not offered at the office they attend counseling at.
Suboxone is an oral medication available for active CAReS clients who meet the criteria for this type of treatment and who have been cleared both medically and clinically by the CAReS physician. This program is highly structured and monitored using random urines, film count, frequent doctor visits and lab work.
Vivitrol is the once a month injection of Naltrexone which assists in controlling cravings from alcohol and opiates. It is available to those who are active CAReS clients or who have been in a structured recovery program or Rehabilitation center and have been provided with their first injection prior to discharge.
