New York State VeteransÆ Home is a 242-bed facility thatprovides long term care and short term rehabilitative care.Supervised medical care and nursing services are providedon a 24-hour basis. Support programs include socialservices, recreational activities, physical and occupationaltherapy and other rehabilitative services. Special diets areprovided through a registered dietician on staff. A PRI andScreen are needed for admission along with application.The applicant must have entered active duty from the Stateof NY or be a NY State resident for one year prior toadmission. The Veteran must also have had an honorabledischarge from the US Armed Forces and have at least 30days of active service. Rates: Medicaid and Medicare forshort-term rehab.
