Opioid Diversion Program

  • Description:

    The Treatment Court Outing Programs are therapeutic partnerships with local Drug Treatment Courts at the city and county level. Participants in the Glens Falls City Drug Treatment Court and the Warren County Drug Treatment Court partake in regular, free prosocial outings designed to support their recovery from a substance use disorder.

    Treatment:

    The program includes guided activities such as hiking, rock climbing, yoga, and kayaking folks can rediscover strengths and develop new ones, connect with peers in a supportive environment, and identify meaningful avenues for lifelong sober recreation. Our facilitators integrate principles of Adventure-Based Counseling, Peer Recovery Coaching, and Hazelden’s Recovery Life Skills Program to offer a sound evidence-based framework to promote lasting recovery for participants.

    The Treatment Court Outing Programs are a collaborative effort between the Council for Prevention, Glens Falls City Court, Warren County Court, and local addiction and recovery service providers. They are grant-funded by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS).
