STEHP is a grant funded program open to all Cattaraugus County residents. This program offers financial assistance to residents who are at risk of being homeless or have received shut off notices for their basic needs (e.g: water, gas, electric). To qualify, residents must meet HUD standards and have documentation of the risk of being homeless or have the shut-off notice. This is not emergency assistance, as obtaining all required documentation can take time, depending on clients access to these forms and their landlord. STEHP clients do receive Case Management and must follow through with Case Manager recommendations for continued financial assistance, for example: should they have medical, mental health, or addiction needs. We recognize that these issues often interface and feel that treating both is necessary to increase the ability to maintain financial stability.
Should you have any questions about this program, please contact Jeremy Woolston, Case Manager at 716-373-4303 ext. 516 or Nicole Zink, Case Manager at 716-373-4303 ext. 597.
