Description:MHOTRS programs for adults diagnose and treat mental illness, working with the individual to develop a treatment plan designed to minimize symptoms and adverse effects of illness, maximize wellness, and promote recovery toward achieving life goals such as education and employment, and shall provide the following services: Initial Assessment (including Health Screening), Psychiatric Assessment, Crisis Intervention, Injectable Psychotropic Medication Administration, Injectable Psychotropic Medication Administration with Monitoring and Education, Psychotropic Medication Treatment, Individual/Group/Family/Collateral Psychotherapy, and Complex Care Management.
MHOTRS programs for youth perform early assessment and identification of childhood emotional disturbances, and engage the youth and family in developing a treatment plan designed to minimize symptoms and adverse effects of illness and prevent their progression; maximize wellness; assist the youth in developing a resilient and hopeful approach to school, family, and community; and maintain the youth in their natural environment, and shall provide the following services: Initial Assessment (including Health Screening), Psychiatric Assessment, Crisis Intervention, Psychotropic Medication Treatment, Individual/Group/Family/Collateral Psychotherapy, and Complex Care Management.
The following services may also be provided at the provider's option: Peer/Family Support Services (in individual or group settings, at the MHOTRS program site or offsite, as well as via telehealth, including, but not limited to providing resiliency/recovery-based skills training, facilitating groups, support, and non-clinical crisis support, modeling effective coping skills, facilitating community connections, and engaging in informed decision-making, resilience, and recovery); Health Monitoring; Health Physicals; Psychiatric Consultation; and SBIRT. Programs serving youth may also provide Injectable Psychotropic Medication Administration and Injectable Psychotropic Medication Administration with Monitoring and Education.
The following services may be provided upon prior approval from OMH: Developmental Testing; Neurobehavioral Status Examination; Psychological Testing; Telehealth; IOP; IOS-SUD; and IOS-Primary Care.
MHOTRS programs that have a CCBHC program code 6350 with no separate MHOTRS (program code 2100) financials to report, shall only report in program code 6350 and do not also need to report in program code 2100.
